William H. Ferrell, of Browns Valley, took a dose of paris green on Friday evening. After taking it he milked the cow and did other chores. Becoming ill he told what he had done. Medical aid was summoned at once but he died on Saturday afternoon. Funeral services were held at the Browns Valley Baptist Church on Tues. afternoon. Burial at the Liberty Cemetery. No reason is given for the act. Mr. Ferrell was of a cheerful disposition and had worked on Wed. for Ed Hodgkin who saw no sign of depression. He is survived by the widow, two daughters and 7 sons: Mrs. Bert Elton of Battle Creek, Mich; Ruth, Lon and Charles Ferrell of Browns Valley; Arthur and Fred Ferrell of Crawfordsville; Raymond of Judson, Harry of Logansport and William of Cleveland Oklahoma. - kbz

William H. Ferrell, 63, a resident of this (Brown's Valley) Vicinity for the past 40 years, d. at 2:30 o'clock Sat. afternoon at his home, of complications. He was seriously ill only a few hours. Mr. Ferrell was b. in Pulaski Co, Ky near Somerset, the son of Joe and Elizabeth (GEORGE) Ferrell. He grew to manhood in Ky. and after marr. to Martha NELSON on June 15, 1881, he moved to Browns' Valley where he had since lived. He was a member of the Browns' Valley Baptist Church. He is survived by the widow, two daughters, Mrs. Bert Elton of Battle Creek, Mi and Ruth Ferrell at home; and 7 sons, Arthur and Fred of Crawfordsville; Len and Charles at home; Raymond of Judson; Harry of Logansport and William of Cleveland, Okla. The fun. will be held from the BV Baptist churcha t one o'clock Tues. afternoon in charge of the Rev. Caldwell. Bur. will be made at the Liberty Cemetery - kbz

William H. Ferrell was born near Somerset, KY Aug 11, 1864 and departed this life June 4, 1927 at the age of 62 years, 9 months 24 days. He was the son of Joe and Elizabeth George Ferrell. He grew to manhood in Kentucky and after his marriage to Martha Nelson June 15, 1881, moved to Indiana where he had since resided. To this union 13 children were born, 4 preceding him in death. He was a member of Browns Valley Baptist Church and believed in lending a helping hand at all times. He was a good neighbor and kind and loving husband and father. He is survived by the widow; two daughters, Mrs. Bert Felton of Battle Creek, Michigan and Miss Ruth at home; 7 sons, Arthur and Fred of Crawfordsville; Lon and Charles at home; Raymond of Judson; Harry of Logansport and William of Cleveland, OK; 9 grandchildren, Mrs. Paul Harworth, Alberts, Oditha, Evelyn and Donald Felton, Juanita Rhea Ferrell and Martha Katherine and Kenneth Ferrell; and three sisters, Mrs. James Williams of Crawfordsville; Mrs. Sarah Nelson of Oklahoma and Miss Kyes of KY; also a host of friends to grieve his passing. - kbz
